Welcome to Mindshift202! Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions parents ask about our transformational coaching, group programs, and digital resources. We’re here to help you break generational patterns, raise emotionally intelligent children, and create lasting change—always with compassion and cultural sensitivity.
-
How do I know if parenting coaching will actually work for my family?
I totally get this concern—you want to know your investment will make a real difference! The beautiful thing about our approach at Mindshift202 is that we focus on transforming YOU first, which naturally transforms your family dynamics. Maggie’s method combines lived parenting experience with transformational coaching techniques that address root causes, not just surface behaviours.
Most parents start seeing shifts within the first few sessions because we work on your mindset and emotional responses—the foundation of all parenting interactions. Our 6-week and 12-week transformation programs are specifically designed to create lasting change, not quick fixes.
Ready to explore if this feels right for your family? Book a 60-minute standalone session to experience the approach firsthand.

I’m already overwhelmed as a parent. How much time do these programs really require?
I hear you—adding one more thing to your plate feels impossible when you’re already stretched thin! Our programs are designed to actually REDUCE your overwhelm, not add to it.
Parent Group Circles meet weekly for 60 minutes (Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8:00–9:00 PM). 1:1 sessions are 60 minutes, scheduled at your convenience. The 6-week transformation program requires about 2 hours per week—less time than you probably spend scrolling social media!
The real magic happens when you start responding instead of reacting to parenting challenges. Parents tell us they actually save time because there’s less conflict, fewer meltdowns (yours and theirs!), and more connection.
-
What makes your parenting coaching different from other approaches?
Great question! My approach combines mindset coaching with conscious parenting, specifically tailored for culturally diverse families. Rather than just giving you parenting tips and techniques, I focus on helping you heal the inner wounds and limiting beliefs that unknowingly show up in your parenting. I bring a unique “motherly touch” rooted in lived wisdom and emotional intelligence. We work on breaking generational patterns so you can raise emotionally grounded children without losing yourself in the process. It’s transformation from the inside out, starting with you.
-
My partner isn’t on board with parenting coaching. Can this still help?
This is such a common situation, and honestly? You don’t need your partner’s participation for this to work powerfully in your family. When one parent shifts their approach, it creates a ripple effect that influences the entire family dynamic.
Maggie’s approach focuses on YOUR growth and healing—breaking the generational patterns you might be unconsciously repeating. As you become more emotionally regulated and intentional in your parenting, your children respond differently, and often partners naturally start asking what’s changed!
Many parents in our programs start solo and find their partners become curious and eventually supportive as they witness the positive changes.
-
My child has some challenging behaviours. Can coaching help with specific issues like tantrums, defiance, or sibling rivalry?
Absolutely! But here’s what makes our approach different—instead of just giving you techniques to manage behaviours, we help you understand what’s driving them (both in your child AND in your responses).
Maggie’s Parent Group Circle curriculum specifically covers emotional intelligence, communication & connection, and boundary-setting with love. You’ll learn to see challenging behaviours as communication and develop the skills to respond in ways that actually address the underlying needs.
Our 12-week transformation program goes even deeper, helping you heal your own triggers so you can stay calm and connected even during your child’s biggest moments.
-
What if I can’t afford regular coaching sessions?
I understand that investing in yourself can feel challenging, especially as a parent with many financial priorities. That’s why I offer different options to meet various needs and budgets. You can start with a single 60-minute session to address immediate challenges, join our Parent Group Circles for community support at a lower cost, or explore our mini-courses and value bundles.
We also offer payment plans for our longer programs. Investing in your own healing and growth is one of the greatest gifts you can give your children.
-
How do your sessions work, and what can I expect?
All sessions are conducted via Zoom (with Google Meet available by special request). For 1:1 coaching, we offer 60-minute standalone sessions or 6-week and 12-week transformation programs for deeper work. Parent Group Circles are held weekly for 60 minutes.
Each session focuses on emotional safety and authentic growth, tailored to your family dynamics and cultural background. Booking is managed through our paid Calendly platform (rolling out now), and you can always email us for support.
-
What if I need to reschedule or cancel a session?
Life with children can be unpredictable, and I completely understand that! We ask for 24-hour notice for rescheduling or cancellations. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details, or email us if you need help.
-
How quickly will I see changes in my parenting?
Every parent’s journey is unique, but many clients notice shifts in their own emotional responses within the first few sessions. You might find yourself pausing before reacting, feeling more grounded during challenging moments, or responding to your children with more patience and understanding.
External changes in family dynamics typically follow within 4–6 weeks as you consistently apply new approaches. Our 6-week programs are designed around this natural progression, while our 12-week transformation programs create deeper, more lasting change.
-
Do you work with parents from different cultural backgrounds?
Absolutely! Cultural sensitivity and understanding diverse family dynamics is a core part of my approach. I recognise that parenting wisdom and challenges look different across cultures, and I honour the richness that cultural diversity brings to families.
My coaching helps you integrate the valuable aspects of your cultural heritage while releasing patterns that no longer serve you or your children. We work together to create an approach that feels authentic to your family’s unique blend of values and experiences.
